Hi, my name is April and I am a mom to five wonderful kids and am so excited to join the Mom's Day Out team this year as a daily director and teacher! All my kids are in full day school except my youngest, who is excited to be at MDO this year. I love being active whether it's working out, yoga, hiking, or running. I also love kids and am so excited I was able to find a job that allows me to spend time doing what I love! I am so excited to meet your kids!

My name is Julie and Mom’s Day Out is one of the greatest things I’ve ever been a part of. I joined with my son, Lucas, in 2008 when he was 18 months old. The program was perfect because it gave me the break that I so desperately needed while providing an outlet for him to play and grow. I was all in. I started donating supplies and singing their praises to everyone who would listen. Soon I was asked to join the team. I became a Daily Director in 2010 and eventually even served as President of the Board. Through the years I have met some of the most amazing families and I have been so grateful to work with a fantastic team of teachers.

My family first joined Mom’s Day Out in 2017 with my oldest son and we made lifelong friends. My youngest attended MDO as well and I enjoyed watching him develop his own personality among his peers. I am so excited to be the Level 1 teacher at MDO again this year!  Ages 2-3 are my very favorite to interact with. They go through so much growth and development that is fun to watch them. For fun I like to go hiking with my family, crafting, budgeting, and cooking new recipes. I can’t wait to get to know your kiddos!

Hello! I’m a mom of 3 (Braeden, Teagan and Tyson) and wife to my husband, Torben. I love teaching pre-school age kiddos because they are eager to learn and explore. I’m excited to watch them grow and have fun this year! 

Fun fact about me:

I’m originally from Yellowstone National Park! My dad lived and worked there so I was raised there. My first word was Elk.

I first brought my children to Mom’s Day Out in 2014 and have had 1 or more children in the program ever since. They have learned, played, and made lots of friends. I was a member of the Board during the 2017-18 school year and then began teaching at MDO in 2018.  I grew up in Western Washington but I attended college in Utah. I worked teaching school in Guatemala and after getting married moved back to Washington and worked for the Kent School District for 3 years before my children were born. I have a dog named Maylie, a bunny named Misty and three pet ducks. When I’m not at MDO I like to hike, ride my bike, surf, play the guitar, explore the beautiful Pacific Northwest and most of all spend time with my husband and 5 kids!
